There are trains between Den Haag Central Station and Rotterdam every half hour. Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe, and the third largest port worldwide. The city centre of Rotterdam was bombed in May 1940, leading to the capitulation and occupation of Netherlands in World War II. After the war the inner city was rebuilt and has incorporated multiple sites with innovative architecture, such as the cube-houses. For events during your stay: Agenda – Uitagenda Rotterdam
